14 Anuário Brasileiro do Setor de Locação de Veículos Brazilian Vehicle Rental Sector Yearbook 2023 FENALOC Quick response to regional demands The National Vehicle Leasing and Rental Company Federation (FENALOC) represents the vehicle leasing and rental sector and is focused on the legislative and legal sides, with 19 Rental Syndicates (SINDLOCs) all over the country. Our work is essential in representing the vehicle leasing and rental sector in contact with public agencies, representative associations, Congress, and partners in the CNT/SEST/SENAT & ITL system. We have contact with the Legal Chamber (CTEL) at the National Traffic Department (Senatran), representing our positions, accompanying whatever affects our sector. FENALOC is active in the main debates, finding solutions. The car leasing and rental sector has become important in the national political and legislative spheres, sharing information. This has provided a rapid response by the federation regarding the specific demands in each region where FENLOC and SINDLOC are active. FENALOC is constantly involved in the new Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), Summary 492 (Joint And Several Liability), “NIC Fines” (No Driver Identification), and awareness among state governments that reducing car tax for leasing rental companies benefits states and promotes fairer competition among leasing and rental companies in different regions. Finally, it is always important to remember that FENALOC and ABLA work together for the benefit of the car leasing and rental sector, united and cohesive in their actions.
