142 Anuário Brasileiro do Setor de Locação de Veículos Brazilian Vehicle Rental Sector Yearbook 2021 SERPRO Overcome challenges and expand digital interaction I t is true that 2020 was an especially challenging year for entrepreneurs, the government and Brazilian people. The COVID-19 pandemic demanded not only a change in lifestyle, but a paradigm-breaking and constant search for innovative answers. In this new scenario, there was a sharp increase in the demand for technology, which made the digital transformation of the country even more urgent. Serpro faced these difficulties proactively and won important victories, furthering partnerships with relevant customers in the country’s productive sectors, such as ABLA. In June 2020, Pará adopted digital drivers’ licenses (CDTs), completing a phase that began in 2017. From then on, the solution was offered by all transport departments in Brazil. In December, CDT won the iBest Award for best app offered by the federal government, in a popular vote among millions of the most diverse user profiles. That same month, Serpro won the award for best government services company in the large segment, offered by the Informática Hoje Yearbook. The state- owned IT intelligence company was also voted the best technology, software and services company in the country by IstoÉ Dinheiro and the Época Negócios 360º Yearbook. This year, 2021, the there is a new feature for CDTs - the Vehicle Transfer Authorization, which allows the entire transfer of ownership procedure to be performed from the owner’s mobile phone. This is a milestone in the digital transformation of the transit segment. All the documents required are now offered in digital format, without the use of any paper. Another new feature of CDTs, also to be offered this year, is to name an offending driver. Also last year, we launched the Vehicle Intelligence Panel, an innovative product that uses the Discovery data tool to generate statistical data for customers in the automotive segment. The automotive market is one of the most important areas of activity of Serpro. We have an agreement with ABLA to foster the development of the sector, using services such as Datavalid, a technology that allows registration, biographical and biometric validations, with the security and reliability of the company that is the guardian of data for the federal government. We also provide statistical information of interest to the leasing and rental sector, such as the number of vehicles licensed or transferred throughout Brazil. Serpro has been ensuring the functioning of the government during the pandemic, expanding the capacity of infovia, which serves public agencies, providing 100% digital certification online. Our business intelligence platform is also being used to identify micro and small businesses able to receive benefits from the Emergency Job Support Program. With our experience and creative adaptation to an adverse scenario, we expect a successful 2021 for all Brazilians!
