anuário brasileiro do setor de locação de veículos 2016 14 FENALOC During years of difficulties not only announced, but already experienced, the agenda is effectiveness. The most used words are specialization, segmentation, focus on the business and dedication. I say that because the entrepreneurs who founded ABLA, in 1977, certainly didn’t imagine the sector would reach the dimension it has today, what demanded sharing of responsibilities so that all the functions could be even better executed. With the conquer of the Federative Letter, FENALOC has de facto and de jure assumed the role of legal representative of the sector for all political and juridical matters, so that ABLA could concentrate on its commercial mission and qualification to all entrepreneurs and professionals who work in the sector. This definition on acting focuses will allow the meeting of goals projected to the sector as a whole, combining commercial conditions appropriate to the reality of the rental companies, mainly for new fleet acquisitions and credit obtaining, with a legal environment that preserves the rights of the sector. The unconditional support from the National Transport Confederation (CNT) only strengthens this tendency and our learning, once we backed up by such important and experienced representative. Right in the beginning of 2016, we made real our first Direct Lawsuit of Unconstitutionality (ADI 4542), assigned to Minister Dias Toffoli, who is taking it directly to the Plenary Assembly of the Supreme Federal Court due to To each his own the relevance of the matter. This first actuation by FENALOC already makes our mission clear and confirms that we will concentrate our efforts on fighting the legal inaccuracies. Cristal clear, also, is our indication that we will fight for the legal adaptations needed for the survival of the sector and that we will not refrain from acting in each situation which might appear or which might offend our rights. In a country with so many contrasts and so many administrations, from a president who killed himself in shame to presidents who are killing us in shame, from a National Congress stained by corruption and by disbelief, only with representation and effective defense of interests will the sector stand any chance. Brazil is country that works, despite so many irregularities, because of a bold private sector, formed by a majority of entrepreneurs who believe in their businesses, invest in them and persevere like true heroes! In a time of connectivity and shared economy, we need to be more agile than we have ever been, with ABLA and FENALOC acting together for the sector. We remind here of a refrain of one of the current Brazilian funk songs and let us work “to each his own” in order to achieve our goals even more effectively, efficiently and quickly.
