A unidade industrial 100% Nissan recebeu um dos maiores investimentos realizados nopaís para a construçãodeuma fábrica de automóveis, R$2,6 bilhões, exatamente para ter um ciclo de produção completo, da área de estamparia até as pistas de testes, incluindo chaparia, pintura, injeção de plásticos,montageme inspeçãodequalidade.No total, ela terácapacidade para produzir até 200mil veículos e 200mil motores por ano. O complexo de Resende foi concebido para produzir os veículos da Plataforma V (de “versátil”) da Nissan e tambémmotores. Ela inicia suas atividades com a fabricação do novo automóvel Nissan NewMarch e do motor 1.6 16V flexfuel, que equipa o carro. Para produzi-los, as duas fábricas – de veículos e demotores – que compõem a unidade industrial já empregam diretamente cerca de 1.500 pessoas.
