Em 2012, foram 1.263.095 ações em todo o país na área de desenvolvimento profissional, sendo 514.579 em educação presencial, 50.663 em educação à distância, 2.954 em Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) e 694.899 pessoas atendidas em palestras de educação profissional. Com esse resultado, o Sest Senat se credencia como agente fundamental na qualificação do setor e transformador da realidade socioeconômica do trabalhador em transporte. The National Transport Service - National Transport Education Service (Sest Senat) trains professionals in the transport sector, and works to improve their quality of life, offering dental care, eye care, psychology (chemical dependency treatment) and physiotherapy, as well as leisure, sports, recreation and cultural activities. The activities Sest Senat promotes are available in almost a hundred and fifty modern units built in major cities in every capital city and at strategic points on highways to support truck drivers on their trips. Besides promoting quality of life for transport workers, Sest Senat also serves their families and the community. Created in 1993, and linked to the National Transport Confederation, Sest Senat has exceeded expectations with the good services it has provided, not only to transport workers and their families, but to the whole of society. Sest Senat prepares professionals in the sector to better meet the demands of the labor market. Its units offer various courses in cargo and passenger transport. Consolidated as benchmark entity in training people in transport, Sest Senat makes a significant contribution to a more productive and higher quality work, driving growth in this important sector for the country’s economy.
