Strategic Route for the Brazilian Aluminum Chain 2030 Brazil owns one of the largest bauxite reserves in the world, being the third producer of bauxite and alumina, for years ranked the sixth largest producer of primary aluminum. Nonetheless, the energy crisis affecting the country in recent years has become a dramatic structural constraint for the sector, leading to the closure of primary aluminum plants and generating disruption in the production chain.
